Help...I can't open my safe!

Request Your Combination by Mail

If you need your combination, and did not previously Register Your Combination on our Web site, you may get a copy from our office. To request your combination by mail, please send the following:

A written statement of ownership witnessed and signed by a notary public (must have different last name than your own).

An $12 (US) research fee.* Please send check or money order, no cash.

The serial number from the white label located on the outside of the safe. Do not send the Underwriters Laboratory number from the inside of the safe door.

My elderly father has a Sentry Model 1250 Firesafe and has forgotten the combination to it. He has borderline alzheimers and the probability that he will remember the proper combination is low. I found the numbers 4144748 on the outside of the container on the upper right side as you face it. Can you assist or instruct me on the proper procedure to follow. Thanks

I purchased a lodge with a sentry 1300 safe and was given the combination and had it opened once. We operate seasonaly and I have lost the combination. It has a piece of tape on the lower right corner near the hinge I am assuming it may be a registration number. Can you provide me with a combination and instructions on how to open it with this number? Do you need an email from the prior owner telling you I legally own it?

The handle has broken from my Sentry Model 1250. Are replacemant parts available? If so, how hard is it to replace?

As far as I know- no replacement handles are available from Sentry, (I COULD BE WRONG!)but as far as I know... I've even seen as far as replacing the entire door because of a broken handle. Best bet is to find another safe like the one you have at a yard sale or something or see if a locksmith in the area will sell you one if he has some laying around. Just a note to all looking for lost combinations...the numbers Sentry may give out may not be correct! Many people have the combinations changed on their safes routinely! I do it nearly every week. I would only recommend getting the combo from Sentry if you are the original owner of the container AND sure no one has ever changed it. Best of luck.

I have an old model Sentry Safety Bos Rotation 1250. After I close the door and it become stuck. Now I can not rotate it or turn the hanle. Please let me know what can do to open it, I still have all my save inside the box. (I still have the combo number)

I have a Sentry Safe. I wrote them(and sent them the Money Order) and they sent me my combination # and Keys to the safe. I still have never been able to open the safe. Any ideas?

Hello-

I recently bought a Sentry Supreme model 5380 safe at a local auction. I was given the combination and the door is locked in the open position. I need to know the procedure for opening it so I can get the door closed and make it useable. Which direction do you start and how many turns in each direction do I make?

The serial number is B812908 and the combination is listed as

64-68-38-42. Hope you can help-thanks
