Monitoring the copy machine
Isabella from The Southwest -
My husband's office monitors their copy machine. Everyone is given a code to the machine and you have to write down what you're copying and how many copies you made. Isn't that ridiculous? They said that someone was abusing it but come on...

Well that's just plain stupid. Who works at that office? 5 year olds? They should just put out a memo and tell everyone to only copy office related things. Sheesh!!

That is a bit much. Is it really that much of a problem at your husband's office? I can understand if a lot of paper and ink is being wasted, that does add up. But kind of sad that people would do that aka waste paper and ink.

What about those running off 1, 000 copies of the church bulletin or bookie sheets? The deal when you signed on your job was a particular wage (and benefits, bonuses, etc). It is not likely that office supplies, copies, time for your own projects was included as part of your compensation. Though most people probably don't take advantage of these extra "perks" to a great extent, a few will abuse them. Would you consider it ok for your gardener to help himself to your fridge to feed his family?
