Here are a few tips to get you started at work. If your question was about home rather than work, my best suggestion is to sell your kids and husband into slavery at a local volunteer organization. Otherwise:* Turn on your voice mail
* Organize a list of priority and don't allow any interruptions before the "must complete" priorities are done
* Group related tasks: answering emails. answering voice mails.
* Delegate authority so that others can take responsibility for things that demand your "immediate" attention.
* Organize and prioritize interruptions. Make it clear you want 2 or 3 items brought to your attention at one time, not a single item 2 or 3 times a day.
* Go to work an hour early several days a week to get a head start on items needing concentration
* Keep in mind that when others are interrupting you they may not be focusing on their work
