My pencil sharpener has a piece of lead caught in it, so the pencils don't sharpen. I've tried using gravity by holding it so that the entry hole is facing down and tapping on it, but the lead is still lodged.Any suggestions other than throwing it against the wall. Janice

Can you use a pin or needle to try and break the piece that is wedged in? If isn't an electric sharpener make sure you unplug it before sticking anything in.The key I think is to be rough enough to break up the lead, but gentle enough so as not to damage the blades.

I have a Boston Electric Pencil Sharpener Model 18 which I (and 18 additional teens)have used for several years. It is dull. How do I sharpen? Do I need new Part? Where do I get it?I am a low-income grandmother. Thanks for any help.

when I had lead stuck in mine I used a large needle, like the ones used for crafts. I was able to get the lead out that way, it took a little bit of trying but it finally came out of there.

I was looking for them as well. MY dad used ot takethe old hand cranks apart and fix em with Xacto blades. So i went looking and found a catalog of repair parts for pencil sharpeners...... Drafting ones seem to ahve the easiest and chapest parts. You can call the company, like Boston to get repair parts. My husband has offered to take mine apart and sharpen the edge. the way I see it, get a small metal drafting pencil sharpenenr with three replacement blades for two bucks.......

I have a Pierce electric pencil sharpner for drafting pencils (lead holders). Any idea where I can find a replacement part for the part with the blades that sharpen the lead part number 1001?

Have newer X-Acto Battery Pencil Sharpener Model # W16751 Used it a few times but now won't sharpen properly. It appears the metal blade has a piece broke off. Is there any way I can obtain a new blade only.

I HAVE AN XACTO SHARPNER MODEL # 167X. THE SHARPNER DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. IT DOES NOT SHARPEN THE PENCILS. IT IS AS IF THE BLADES ARE NOT TOUCHING THE PENCIL. ARE THEY BLADE MECHANACISM AVAILABLE FOR THIS MODEL. PLEASE LET ME HEAR FROM YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS WE USE THIS DAILY WHEN IT DOES WORK.
